CAMP DESCRIPTIONS:

Spring Shooting Clinic: **CAMP IS CURRENTLY FULL!!**
This spring we are offering a 7 week skills clinic where we will be focusing primarily on shooting and stick-handling. This is a chance for players to focus on these two specified areas of the game especially after a long and tiring Winter season. Puck release, shooting in stride, tight area puck control are all going to be touched upon during the clinic. Join Leach Bros. Hockey every Saturday morning for 50 minutes starting in early April.

*NEW* - High School Skills Clinic:
Seeking High School aged players that have elite level playing experience for this summer's High School Skills Clinic. We will be pushing players with challenging edge work, skating and stick-handling drills as well as high tempo shooting and small area games: Must have Varsity or high level Bantam playing experience to enroll in this program.

*NEW* - Power Skating/Stick Handing Clinic: **CAMP IS CURRENTLY FULL!!**
This year we will combine the intensity of our Over Speed clinic with the finesse of our Stick Handling curriculum. Players will be challenged in high-speed power skating drills and put through a series of puck handling and stick handling exercises that will improve skating with the puck. Emphasis on combining these two skills will be learning when to stickhandle and when to skate with the puck. Players need to learn the difference and will be challenged each session! Come out and move our feet every Thursday in the summer!!!

*WELCOME BACK* - Girls Camp:
We are welcoming back the Girls Camp for the 2012 Summer. This camp will provide a girl's only experience that will cover all aspects of the game. Come work on your skills this summer, as we will push the limits and challenge the participants with our curriculum. We will be adding additional Women coaches for this camp and focus on certain skills that pertain to the Women's game.

*NEW* - Goalie Camp / *NEW* - Advanced Goalie Camp:
This summer we will feature 2 Goalie camps that will be conducted by our Head Goalie Instructor Stuart Frye. Coach Frye comes from an impressive background that includes playing in both the College and Professional Levels. He has over 25 years of coaching experience and works with LBH throughout the year as the Goalie Consultant. Also involved is Coach Frye's son Curtis who is currently one of the goaltenders for the USA National Development Program. Players will receive 3 hours of On-Ice instruction as well as 1.5 hours of off ice instruction by the Coaching Staff. Skating, Movement, Angles, Rebound Control and several other goalie skills will be the focus for these camps. Come work on your kick saves and have a blast at our Goalie Camps!!

Day Camp:
Our Day Camp is the highlight of the summer programs. Campers will be on the ice for 3 hrs per day. We will be covering all aspects of the game with an emphasis on power skating and skill development during the morning session and situational drills and games in the afternoon session. When they are not on the ice, campers will take part in many off ice activities including dryland training, shooting pucks, dodge ball, and home run derby. We also have access to an Olympic size pool and high dive, which will be used during the day to give the campers a chance to cool off.

*NEW* - Super Elite Camp:
The Super Elite camp is designed for the more experienced players. Campers will be challenged on their skill and hockey knowledge with intense skating, passing and stick handling drills as well as advanced positional games. We will be on the ice for 2 (80 min) sessions per day. Players will be taking part in a more intense regime off the ice as well. Plyometrics, weight training and leadership exercises are some of the activities that will be conducted off ice. Participants will be put through a series of leadership and communication excercises that will help develop important aspects of the game that are essential at the higher levels. We will also be using the Olympic size pool to cool off after a hard days work!

Hockey/Golf Camp:
This summer we have again teamed up with Sanford Country Club to provide a hockey/golf fantasy camp where our campers will participate in a 1.5 hr On-Ice session in the morning at the Arena, then bus up to Sanford, ME to receive professional golf lessons by the staff at Sanford Country Club. This is a great opportunity to polish both your hockey and golf skills as the two sports go hand in hand. Space is limited to 20 campers so please sign up fast as we are anticipating a full camp! Last year's camp was a great success and we are looking to build both the Golf and Lacrosse camps as the premiere dual sport summer camps in the area.

Hockey/Lax Camp:
Back for a second summer is our Hockey/Lacrosse Fantasy Camp. We have hired local High School and College Lacrosse coaches to provide exceptional instruction in order to teach our campers the fundamentals of North Americas oldest sport. We start the week with an on ice session covering skating, stick-handling passing and shooting. We will progress throughout the week by incorporating team play and small game situations. After the ice session we will hit the dry rink for some plyometric and off ice training. Next we will gear up and hit the field for a 2 hour Lax clinic. Full gear is required to participate. The instructors will take campers through a variety of drills pertaining to skill development as well as team competition games. After Lax practice we will end with a pool session to cool down from a solid day of dual sport training..
